Who We Are

Key features of our organization

Mission

To create a culturally integrated organization to identify, unify, support, and service the cultural and non/cultural needs of the various Indigenous peoples, their descendants and organizations residing within the State of New Hampshire and surrounding areas.

History

Founded in 1993, the New Hampshire Intertribal Native American Council grew from a grassroots effort into a central gathering place for Indigenous people across the state. Through pow wows, educational programs, and community events, the Council has worked to preserve Native traditions and strengthen connections among tribal members, descendants, and allies in New Hampshire.

Support

The New Hampshire Intertribal Native American Council supports its members by providing Book Fund Gifts for Indigenous people of New Hampshire. Dedicated to the memory of Grandmother Beverly “Mourning Dove” Newell, the Book Fund offers vital financial assistance to help members pursue their educational goals and enhance their overall well-being.
